The IndusInd Foundation is a non-profit and charitable organization of the IndusInd Group, set up in 1993 to provide an institutional platform to meet the community’s aspiration for philanthropy. The Foundation’s thrust areas for it’s activities are education & healthcare. The foundation is engaged in a
number of welfare schemes. The most important scheme is the grant of educational scholarships to meritorious but needy students for study at the degree level. This scheme was launched in 1993 and, over the period more than 400 students have been granted scholarships. The foundation has disbursed over Rs.1.30 crores by way of scholarships.

Under the scheme, the Foundation
grants scholarships to 30 – 35 students every year for amount raging
from Rs. 500 to Rs. 2,000
every month. The scholarship is tenable for the entire duration of the course
subject to the student’s performance at semester / annual examinations.

The Foundation announced its
Scholarship scheme, 2008 in June, 2008 and has now sanctioned scholarships to

The
Foundation hopes that the 36 students selected for the current academic year
will succeed in achieving their ambitions and will make the community proud
by their achievements.
The
foundation had also been helping promote Indus Valley
art, culture, language and literature. One such scheme is awards to writers.
